Some may find this video boring, but if you know Minecraft well enough you will find it both impressive and really interesting to watch. The mine track runs straight as an arrow across a 53mb Minecraft map under hills and above rivers. While building a straight minecart track might not seem like a showcase-worthy feat, this creation was built by one man on an insanely epic scale as you will see in the video. It took brt5470 20-24 hours to build the bridges and place the stone, minecart tracks and glass by hand. He gathered about 10% of the resources by hand, but upon realizing how large the project was going to be he used InvEdit. The AutoCart mod was also used to keep the minecart running at a constant speed because using boosters would have ruined the feel of flying down the rails.
One of the really cool aspects of this video is how the trip actually takes place over the course of a couple days and you can see the sun and moon slowly rise and fall as you zoom westward. Considering that each day/night cycle in Minecraft is 20 minutes, this track is really, really, really long.
It is quite relaxing and memorizing to watch and the music fits perfectly. Enjoy.
